Image Processing and AI Output Policy
Last updated 17 July 2026
This policy explains how Forest Hills Ventures processes images through our conventional and AI-assisted editing services — including JewelRetouch Studio and Product Images — and what you need to know before you rely on an AI-generated or AI-edited output.
AI-generated or AI-edited images may differ from the original input. Please carefully verify product design, geometry, stone details, metal colour and all other visual elements before approving, publishing or using the image.
Nature of the service
Forest Hills Ventures provides conventional and AI-assisted image-processing services, which may include:
- background removal
- transparent-background generation
- background replacement
- colour presentation
- jewellery retouching
- metal and diamond presentation enhancement
- shadow and reflection adjustment
- catalogue preparation
- product-image resizing and formatting
- image variation generation
- other customer-approved editing operations
AI output limitations
Automated processing may unintentionally alter geometry, proportions, orientation, stone count, stone shape, stone size, setting style, prongs, metal colour, gemstone colour, engraving, hallmark, logo, texture, reflection, product dimensions, shadows, background, or other visible details.
Outputs are visual and presentation aids. They are not manufacturing specifications, CAD records, gemological reports, product certificates, valuations, authenticity reports, quality-control reports, or legal proof of the physical product.
Customer verification responsibility
You and any authorised user must verify outputs before customer delivery, catalogue publication, website publication, advertising, social-media use, marketplace listing, price quotation, manufacturing use, approval as a master image, or any other commercial use.
Customer content rights
You confirm that you have authority to upload and process each image. You must not upload infringing content, unlawfully obtained content, confidential third-party content without authority, personal data not required for the service, illegal content, malicious files, or content that violates an applicable customer agreement.
Ownership
- You retain ownership of your original uploaded images and underlying product rights.
- Forest Hills Ventures does not acquire ownership merely by processing an image.
- Processed outputs are provided subject to your customer agreement.
- Forest Hills Ventures retains ownership of its software, processing methods, workflows, templates and platform.
- Third-party model or technology terms may apply where relevant and approved.
Model training
Customer images and outputs will not be used to train a general-purpose AI model unless the customer has separately and expressly agreed in writing.
Human review
Human review may occur where required for retouching, quality review, customer support, workflow approval, incident investigation, service improvement using the customer's own authorised workflow, or troubleshooting. Access is limited to authorised personnel.
Retention
Retention is configurable at the customer-domain level, with system defaults and legal minimums, and depends on your agreement, domain configuration, active account status, operational need, our backup cycle, any dispute or legal hold, accounting and tax obligations, and applicable law. Ordinary account users cannot delete records required for billing, tax, fraud prevention, audit, or legal obligations.
Deletion
We support authorised deletion requests where permitted. Deletion is distinct from removing an image from your normal account view — some records are retained for a scheduled period, backup expiry, billing-record retention, legal hold, or security-log purposes before an irreversible purge.
Security
Access to the service and to your data is protected by invitation-only access, domain isolation, role-based permissions, multi-factor authentication, secure transport, controlled staff access, audit logging, access revocation, monitoring, backups, and encryption where verified. We do not claim a certification or encryption scope that has not been confirmed.
